Controlled Vocabulary: A controlled vocabulary is a list of words to tag units of information in a text or document. Controlled vocabularies can be used for information retrieval

Entity: An entity is a thing with unique and independent existence. An entity has an identity
Entity Type: An entity type describes a class of entities with the same set of roperties

Knowledge Card: Knowledge cards are a grid of small information cards across the top of the SERP. Knowledge cards are only shown for entities in the Google Knowledge Graph
Knowledge Graph: A knowledge graph is a graph that expresses knowledge in its simplest form
Knowledge Graph Optimization: Knowledge Graph Optimization is the process of publishing information in such a way that search engine can build a knowledge graph
Knowledge Panel: Knowledge panels are information boxes that appear on Google SERP when you search for entities (people, places, organizations, things) that are in the Knowledge Graph

Linked Data: Linked data is structured data that is interlinked with other data. With Linked Data structured information can be combined from different sources.

Property: In the context of knowledge graphs, a property is a specific attribute of an entity

Relation: A relation is a property that has an entity as a value
Rich Result: Rich Results are Google features of the Search Engine Results Page (SERP)

Schema Markup: Schema Markup is a markup code that helps search engines understand information on your webpage
Search Engine Results Page: The search engine results page, or SERP, is the page you see in response to a query into Google, Bing, Yahoo, or any other search engine
